UPDATE 31 January 2020: This exchange has closed down its operations. We are no entirely sure why but we believe it primarily has to do with strategic company group decisions. Other Huobi-exchanges live on.
Accordingly, we have marked HBUS as "dead" and moved it to our Exchange Graveyard.
To find a reliable exchange where you can start an account, just use our Exchange Filters and we'll help you find the right platform for you.
HBUS Review
HBUS is actually linked to an even bigger exchange: Huobi. As a matter of fact, HBUS is Huobi‘s exclusive strategic US-partner. HBUS has its headquarters in San Francisco and offers trading in 7 cryptocurrencies: Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Dash, Ethereum, Ethereum Classic, Litecoin and Qtum.
Unfortunately for everyone except residents of the USA or China, only residents of USA or China are permitted to trade at this exchange. If you are not a resident of USA or China but still want to find a cryptocurrency exchange, just use our Exchange Finder and we promise you that we will find an exchange for you.
America is in many ways also the ruler of cryptocurrency right now. It has a very impressive number of cryptocurrency exchanges and a large part of the everyday cryptocurrency trading occurs on American exchanges or on other exchanges but involving American traders. A few of the cryptocurrency exchanges coming from the USA are Coinbase, Gate.io, Paxful and Bitquick. As this exchange is an American cryptocurrency exchange, US-investors are of course welcome to trade here.
HBUS Referral Program
This exchange also has a referral program. Through the referral program, users that you have invited through your exclusive invitation link will receive 30% of all trading fees coming from referred accounts for a 180 day-period from such user’s registration. Both you and the referred person will also receive 25 USDT. Settlement occurs very fast (within only a few bank days).
HBUS Trading View
Different exchanges have different trading views. And there is no “this overview is the best”-view. You should yourself determine which trading view that suits you the best. What the views normally have in common is that they all show the order book or at least part of the order book, a price chart of the chosen cryptocurrency and order history. They normally also have buy and sell-boxes. Before you choose an exchange, try to have a look at the trading view so that you can ascertain that it feels right to you. The below is a picture of the trading view at HBUS:
HBUS Fees
HBUS Trading fees
This trading platform offers flat trading fees (meaning that takers and makers pay the same fees upon completion of an order), amounting to 0.10%. This is below the global industry average and also below the domestic American industry average. Among the 13 American cryptocurrency exchanges we list in our Cryptocurrency Exchange List, the average trading fee for takers is 0.47%. The trading fees charged by this particular coin exchange are thus way below the American domestic industry average.
HBUS Withdrawal fees
Furthermore, we have not been able to find this exchange’s withdrawal fees. As you can surely imagine, silence on fees from exchanges are naturally also risks for you as an investor. Accordingly, we strongly urge you to make your own analysis of the withdrawal fees at this exchange before depositing any funds here and before concluding that it is the best cryptocurrency exchange site for you.
Deposit Methods
HBUS does not accept any deposits of fiat currency. This means that new cryptocurrency investors (i.e., investors without any previous holdings of cryptocurrencies) can’t trade here. In order to purchase your first cryptocurrencies, you need a so called entry-level exchange, which is an exchange also accepting deposits of fiat currency. Find one by using our Exchange Finder!
