UPDATE 12 January 2022: When trying to access the website of Linkkoin today, we were unsuccessful. There have been no preceding messages on system maintenance or new websites or anything similar.

Accordingly, we believe that this exchange has closed down and we have marked it as "dead" in our Exchange Graveyard. If the exchange's website would become accessible again and the error is just temporary, we will "revive" it and bring it back to our Exchange List.

To find a reliable exchange where you can start an account, just use our Exchange Filters and we'll help you find the right platform for you.

We have not found any explicit prohibition for US-investors to trade here. Any US-investor interested in treading at a non-US exchange shall however as always form their own opinion on any issues arising from their citizenship or residency.

Different exchanges have different trading views. And there is no “this overview is the best”-view. You should yourself determine which trading view that suits you the best. What the views normally have in common is that they all show the order book or at least part of the order book, a price chart of the chosen cryptocurrency and order history. They normally also have buy and sell-boxes. At this exchange, there is only a purchase box. This makes it easily understandable for new crypto investors, while it might lack some features that more experienced traders look for. The below is a picture of the purchase interface at Linkkoin:

Linkkoin Purchase Interface

This platform does not offer trading between cryptocurrencies. The only permitted transactions are to purchase any of the supported cryptocurrencies through use of either USD, PLN, GBP or EUR. As such, it would be difficult to compare the trading fees at Linkkoin with the global industry average trading fees at regular centralized exchanges.

When buying BTC from the exchange, the purchase price offered by the exchange is higher than the market price. This is how the exchange makes money. The mark-up is not specified anywhere. Howewer, on the date of last updating this review (28 May 2020), the mark-up/mark-down charged by Linkkoin was 8.12%. This is an extremely high markup and we do not recommend anyone to purchase crypto to these fees.

Considering how this exchange operates, withdrawal fees are irrelevant.

The real strong part of Linkkoin’s offering is the available deposit methods. At this exchange, you can purchase through VISA-cards, Mastercards, Maestro and even Apple Pay. This is a very competitive solution and can surely be helpful to many new cryptocurrency investors without any previous holdings of cryptocurrencies. It also makes this exchange an “entry-level exchange”.
