Liqui Review
Liqui is a Ukrainian cryptocurrency exchange with its main office in Kiev. There are a handful of other exchanges from the Ukraine. If we would mention one (and only one), it would presumably be BTC Trade UA that has been up and running for quite some time.
The exchange does not list US-investors as prohibited from trading, but US-investors should do their own independent assessment of any problems arising from their residency or citizenship.
At the time of writing this review, Liqui has almost 290,000 registered users. The exchange has informed the public that it will soon also launch margin trading.
Liqui Fees
Liqui Trading fees
The trading fees for takers are 0.25%. 0.25% is on point with industry average (arguably around 0.25%).
Also, Liqui offers a discount to the makers of each order, thus promoting the liquidity at the exchange. The exchange charges makers 0.10% instead of 0.25%. This is a strong competitive edge in the market and is especially beneficial for the investors not interested in picking up existing orders from the order book but rather prefers to “go fishing” with maker-orders.
Liqui Withdrawal fees
We have not been able to find Liqui’s withdrawal fees. This is potentially a risk for you as an investor (if they are not informed of anywhere we believe there is a higher risk that they are high). Accordingly, we strongly urge you to make your own analysis of the withdrawal fees at this exchange before depositing any funds here and before concluding that it is the best cryptocurrency exchange site for you.
Deposit Methods
This trading platform does not accept any other deposit method than cryptocurrencies, so new crypto investors are actually restricted from trading at Liqui. If you don’t have any crypto but want to start trading here, you will first have to purchase cryptocurrencies from another exchange and then, as a second step, deposit them at Liqui. To find an exchange where you can deposit fiat currency, use our Exchange Finder-tool.
