ZB.com Review
What is ZB.com?
ZB.com is (really) a Chinese cryptocurrency exchange. However, as of today, it is registered in Samoa. It is the only exchange from the country of Samoa that we know of. It has been active since 2017.
US-investors
ZB.com does not explicitly state that US-investors are prohibited from trading. Accordingly, we do believe that US-investors can trade here.
Supported Cryptos
The exchange has a decent (not too slim but not especially extensive either) selection of cryptocurrencies you can trade at the exchange.
Mobile Support
You don’t need to use a web browser to use this exchange’s trading platform. You can download the client for different versions of Windows and Mac computers. Also, you can download an ZB.com application from the places where you normally download apps. Whatever your preferences are in terms of format for the platform, this exchange can surely meet them.
ZB.com Trading View
Different exchanges have different trading views. And there is no “this overview is the best”-view. You should yourself determine which trading view that suits you the best. What the views normally have in common is that they all show the order book or at least part of the order book, a price chart of the chosen cryptocurrency and order history. They normally also have buy and sell-boxes. Before you choose an exchange, try to have a look at the trading view so that you can ascertain that it feels right to you. The below is a picture of the somewhat limited trading view at ZB.com:
ZB.com Fees
ZB.com Trading fees
This particular trading platform charges what we call “flat fees”, meaning that they don’t divide their trading fees between takers and makers. Both pay the same fees: 0.20%. 0.20% is in line with industry average (being approximately 0.25% per order). You will only have to pay 0.10% if you pay the trading fees with ZB Tokens (the exchange's native token).
ZB.com also offers trading fee discounts under certain circumstances. Most exchanges that have trading fee discounts connect these discounts to your trading volume during the preceding 30 days. ZB.com, however, connects it to how many ZB Tokens that you have purchased and locked up during the preceding 30 day period, as follows:
ZB.com Withdrawal fees
Another fee to consider before choosing which exchange to trade at is the withdrawal fee. The withdrawal fee is usually fixed (regardless of the amount of cryptocurrency units withdrawn), and varies from cryptocurrency to cryptocurrency. The global industry average withdrawal fee is arguably around 0.0008 BTC when you withdraw BTC, but we see more and more changes that have started charging 0.0005 BTC per withdrawal. 0.0005 BTC is thus establishing itself as the new industry average.
Here, ZB.com, you pay 0.0005 BTC which is in line with the new industry average.
Deposit Methods
The exchange offers wire transfer as a deposit method, but you can’t deposit via credit card.
