Chainlink announced via X on Wednesday that Astar Network is integrating Chainlink CCIP to unlock secure cross-chain development on its EVM-supported smart contract platform on Polkadot.

This integration will enable developers from across the multi-chain ecosystem to securely expand to and build with Astar Network using CCIP. Chainlink CCIP enables developers to build secure applications capable of transferring tokens, sending messages, and initiating actions across multiple blockchains. With CCIP, token transfers allow both users and smart contracts to execute cross-chain token movements seamlessly.

Chainlink Network (LINK) aims to provide tamper-proof inputs and outputs of data for smart contracts on any blockchain. LINK is down by 5% over the past 24 hours and is trading at $13.11 at press time.

Astar Network is a multi-chain dApp hub on Polkadot. The platform offers users various features which include dApps staking, L2 solutions, gas, and grants. Its native ASTR token is down by more than 3% today and is now trading at $0.0712.
