Avalanche9000 Testnet Launches with up to $40M in Retroactive Rewards

On Monday, the Avalanche Foundation announced via a blog post that the Avalanche9000 testnet is now live.

On Monday, the Avalanche Foundation announced via a blog post that the Avalanche9000 testnet is now live. This major update introduces Etna, ACP-77, ACP-125, and more, reducing Layer 1 (L1) deployment costs by 99.9%, simplifying customization, and enhancing maintenance, making L1 launches more economically feasible.

Furthermore, developers can now apply for Retro9000, a retroactive grant program with up to $40m in rewards, including $2m for referrals. Retro9000 will specifically reward developers building Layer 1 (L1) blockchains and related, critical developer tooling on the Avalanche9000 testnet. 

Avalanche is an open-source platform for launching Decentralized Finance (DeFi) applications and enterprise blockchain deployments in an interoperable, highly scalable ecosystem.AVAX is down 1% today and currently trades at $42.07 per coin.
