Chainlink announced via X on Monday that Bitlayer has integrated Chainlink’s Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) as their canonical cross-chain infrastructure.

The integration will enable Bitlayer developers to build feature-rich cross-chain applications to help increase the reach of decentralized finance on Bitcoin w(BTCFi). Bitlayer is the leading layer two solution on Bitcoin, offering security on par with Bitcoin itself while introducing Turing-completeness to the network.

It has chosen to integrate CCIP as its canonical interoperability solution due to Chainlink’s highly proven track record and excellent standard of security and reliability in the blockchain industry.

Chainlink Network (LINK) aims to provide tamper-proof data inputs and outputs for smart contracts on any blockchain. LINK is up 4.5% over the past 24 hours and is trading at $11.49 at press time.
