The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers' (IEEE) announced that researchers and scientists from Lockheed Martin, Ericsson, Lenovo, Huawei, Bosch, IoTeX, and China Academy of Information and Communications Technology are currently developing the global standards for the blockchain decentralized identities.

The blockchain identity standardization is important to ensure interoperability and communications between Internet of Things (IoT) devices, businesses and people. IoTeX is designed to be a privacy-centric blockchain. However, its focus is to manage the entire information lifecycle of an Internet of Things (IOT) network, including data collection, transport, storage, and utilization.
