Algorand Foundation Introduces Python for Blockchain Developers

The Algorand Foundation announced via X on Wednesday that it has launched Python for blockchain. This programming language is only on Algorand and is available with the release of AlgoKit 2.0.

AlgoKit 2.0 will provide a full kit for developers, featuring: a library of smart contract templates, all necessary application infrastructure running locally, a simplified frontend design experience, and native integration of the first common programming language, Python.

Algorand is an open-source, permissionless, Pure Proof-of-Stake (PPoS) blockchain protocol for “the next generation of financial products.” As such, Algorand ensures "full participation, protection and speed within a truly decentralized network." ALGO is trading at $0.2666 at press time, down by 5% in the last 24 hours.
