HBAR Foundation, the development team behind the Hedera blockchain, announced via a blog post on Thursday that it has partnered with AUDC Pty Ltd, the company behind the Australian Digital Dollar (AUDD).
Thanks to this partnership, AUDD will launch as a Hedera Token Service (HTS) token on the Hedera network. AUDD will now enjoy the Hedera network’s technology, known for its high throughput, low latency, and energy efficiency.
The partnership will also help drive significant adoption of AUDD, both within Australia and globally, particularly in industries such as international remittances, escrow services, and real-time payment settlements.
Hedera Hashgraph is a distributed public ledger infrastructure. According to the team, it offers significant improvements over existing blockchains in five areas: performance, security, governance, stability, and regulatory compliance. HBAR is trading at $0.0507 at press time, up 1% over the last 24 hours.
