Azur Games announced on Thursday, August 8th, that it has partnered with Pixelverse to transform Telegram mini-games.
In a press release shared with Cryptowisser, Azur Games said the partnership will see it launch a new mobile game featuring Pixelverse characters through the Pixelverse Telegram mini-game platform.
The Pixelverse platform has attracted 75 million players and over 14 million social media followers. Azur Games plans to onboard more mainstream users to web3 gaming through its partnership with Pixelverse. The partnership seeks to attract millions of new players by leveraging the strengths of both companies.
While commenting on this partnership, Kori Leon, Co-Founder and COO of Pixelverse, said,
“This year, Telegram mini-games have surged in popularity, particularly clicker games. PixelTap introduced an enhanced version of the clicker game popularized by Notcoin, integrating real-time PVP battles driven by clicking.
Our next step is to further refine the gameplay and offer a diverse library of hypercasual games within Telegram. We want to create more interesting and sustainable gameplay that doesn’t rely on airdrops to keep people players engaged. With Azur Games bringing their web2 expertise, we will create enjoyable and innovative gameplay experiences on Telegram that extend far beyond clicker games.”
This latest development comes after Pixelverse achieved significant milestones including the successful listing of its $PIXFI token and a $7.5 million fundraising from prominent investors.
With its entry into the Telegram mini-games space, Azur Games seeks to expand its presence in the Web3 ecosystem. Last year, Azur Games surpassed 8 billion app downloads and was ranked the top global mobile game publisher by downloads, with 250 million monthly active users.
By introducing new gameplay features to a global audience through Telegram mini-games, the partners will bridge the gap between traditional mobile gaming and web3, the team added.
Azur Games is a leading international mobile game publisher and developer with dozens of high-performing titles across various genres, from midcore PVP to hypercasual.
Meanwhile, Pixelverse is a cyberpunk-themed game ecosystem available on Telegram and web browsers, boasting 70 million players and a robust web3 brand with 14 million social media followers. Pixelverse integrates third-party developers, IPs, and its own projects, featuring RPG elements and PvP battles through its PixelTap Telegram mini-game.
