Chainlink announced via X on Wednesday that B² Network has integrated Chainlink’s Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) as its canonical cross-chain infrastructure. This will enable B² Network developers to build feature-rich cross-chain applications that help increase the reach of BTCFi.

B² Network is a pioneering Layer-2 solution designed to enhance transaction speed and expand application diversity on Bitcoin without compromising security. B² Network chose CCIP because it offers a unified cross-chain developer experience by providing a single, easy-to-integrate interface.

Furthermore, CCIP messages are programmable, meaning token transfers and arbitrary data transfers can be one atomic transaction. CCIP also features additional layers of protection and reliability via transfer rate limits and Smart Execution.

Chainlink Network (LINK) aims to provide tamper-proof data inputs and outputs for smart contracts on any blockchain. LINK is up 1.5% over the past 24 hours and is trading at $12.22 at press time.
