Bequant launched a capital platform for crypto hedge funds and HNWIs. It allocates capital to traders using its prime brokerage alongside investors on the platform.

Designed specifically for crypto hedge funds, fund of funds, family offices, and HNWIs, the platform facilitates asset allocation within the digital asset space. Prime brokerage services encompass offerings from investment banks, wealth management firms, and securities dealers, enabling hedge funds to borrow securities and cash to achieve absolute returns.

"Our goal is to capitalize on the software and network we've built within the crypto trading community to achieve new milestones in the industry," stated George Zarya, CEO and founder of Bequant.

The launch of the capital introduction platform is described as a "strategic pivot" by Bequant, reinforcing its commitment to supporting funds throughout all cycles of the asset management business.

Bequant and Fireblocks Partnership

Bequant has developed systems to manage assets across a vast network of liquidity pools, including 15 centralized exchanges, over 30 decentralized exchanges (DEXes), and a dozen-plus over-the-counter (OTC) liquidity providers.

Through its partnership with Fireblocks, Bequant enables clients to lock their assets into DeFi smart contracts and access the liquidity currently locked in DeFi, valued at more than $72.5 billion.

The Bequant capital introduction platform has already garnered positive feedback from industry players like Ron Akram, co-founder and co-managing principal of hedge fund Isla Capital, and Chana Kanzen from the Digital Wealth Fund.

"It's been really interesting to be here to connect with people from the traditional finance sector who are obviously interested in the opportunities that the crypto space has to offer," said Kanzen.

Akram added, "I am very impressed at how Bequant has brought the relevant crowd together with real and serious both managers and allocators."
