Bitcoin Hits $107k
Bitcoin began the new week setting a new record. The world’s leading cryptocurrency by market cap hit a new all-time high price of $107,780 on Monday after adding more than 2% to its value.
BTC has slightly retraced and now trades at $106,892 per coin. There is no major catalyst behind this rally as Bitcoin continues its recent positive performance.
With Bitcoin rallying, leading altcoins have also been performing positively. Ether, the leading cryptocurrency by market cap, added nearly 3% to its value and crossed the $4,100 mark for the first time in three years.
XRP has flipped Tether’s USDT to become the third-largest cryptocurrency by market cap. The coin added 4% to its value to trade above $2.5 after reports emerged that Ripple would launch its RLUSD stablecoin today, December 17th.
