Bybit Marks Six-Year Anniversary

Bybit, the second-largest cryptocurrency exchange globally by trading volume, is marking its 6th anniversary, reflecting on a trajectory of growth, innovation, and market expansion.

Since its launch in 2018, Bybit has achieved significant milestones, including a threefold increase in its user base over the past year. As of its 6th anniversary, Bybit has reached nearly 60 million registered users. The exchange has also recorded an average of $33 billion in daily trading volume in the last quarter of 2024, with an all-time high of $100 billion in daily trading volume in August 2024.

Key Milestones in Bybit’s Development

Bybit has moved from the 7th to the 2nd position in spot market share, growing its share from 3.2% in 2023 to 8.51% in 2024. Additionally, the exchange has seen growth in its derivatives market, with its market share increasing from 6% to 15%.

Bybit introduced several new products, including bbSOL, the first exchange-backed LST token in Web3 staking, and DEX Pro, which connects centralized and decentralized exchanges (CEX and DEX).

Commitment to Compliance and Global Expansion

Bybit has placed a strong emphasis on compliance, securing licenses in multiple regions, including Argentina, the Netherlands, Kazakhstan, and Dubai. The exchange also introduced Sharia-compliant Islamic accounts, making its services more accessible to a wider range of global users.

In addition, Bybit has been active in supporting the blockchain community, collaborating with the Blockchain for Good Alliance (BGA) and hosting events such as the Crypto Content Creator Campus (CCCC) and the BGA Web3 awards. These initiatives aim to foster a more inclusive and dynamic blockchain ecosystem.
