On Wednesday, Chainlink announced via X that Ronin Network has officially integrated Chainlink CCIP. The CCIP bridge lanes between Ethereum and Ronin and Base and Ronin are now LIVE.
Users can now transfer select tokens between these ecosystems. This also lays a foundation to enable more lanes to even more chains. By the end of January, Chainlink CCIP will replace all of the current functions of the legacy bridge on Ronin.
With this launch, anyone can now transfer the LINK token between Ethereum and Ronin using CCIP. If users want to transfer other ERC-20 or ERC-721 tokens between Ronin and Ethereum, they must use the legacy bridge until the end of January 2025. At the end of January 2025, CCIP will serve as the canonical cross-chain infrastructure to transfer assets between Ronin and Ethereum, as well as Ronin and Base.
Chainlink Network (LINK) aims to provide tamper-proof data inputs and outputs for smart contracts on any blockchain. LINK is up 30% over the past 24 hours, trading at $28.89.
Ronin Wallet is the crypto wallet developed for Axie Infinity. It operates on the Ronin blockchain, which works as a sidechain on the Ethereum network. The Ronin network makes it much cheaper to trade and breed Axies and greatly reduces the costs of playing Axie Infinity. RONIN is up 12% and currently trades at $2.237 per coin.
