CoinPayments hires new execs
Canadian-based CoinPayments announced earlier today that it had hired a few people in a bid to expand its business to other parts of the world. The company announced this via a press release earlier today.
"CoinPayments, the world's leading cryptocurrency payment processor, today announced Sara Dube as Global Partnership Development Manager and Marc Bourgeois as Business Development and Sales Manager for Canada. Both will bring their considerable industry experience to CoinPayments' global business development and partnerships team, supporting the ongoing expansion strategy," the company wrote.
Jason Butcher, CEO of CoinPayments, said the company has been making progress in the North American market. However, it now plans to partner with other companies and access other markets. The appointments of Sara and Marc will allow CoinPayments to make meaningful discussions with future partners across the globe and solidify its position as a company that makes it easy for businesses to accept cryptocurrencies.
Sara Dube is bringing 15 years of experience to CoinPayments, after working in the credit card processing industry as a Senior Relationship Manager. Marc Bourgeois has also spent years as an entrepreneur in the payment industry and helped build several successful payment companies in Canada.
Marc Bourgeois said, "I look forward to leveraging my experience in the traditional payments industry to enhance the process with cryptocurrencies. The opportunity to join a growing global company like CoinPayments is exciting, as they are ideally positioned to take advantage of the growing adoption of digital currencies."
Canada has become one of the most cryptocurrency-friendly countries in North America in recent years. While the United States is yet to approve a single Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs), Canada has approved a few Bitcoin ETFs and three Ethereum ETFs. Canada also has favorable crypto regulations that allow companies to operate and thrive.
CoinPayments is a leading crypto processing company, allowing businesses to accept over 2,000 cryptocurrencies. The company helps convert the cryptocurrencies to fiat currencies for the merchants.
