Crypto Exchange Coinbase Experienced a 3-Hour Outage on Tuesday

US-based cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase temporarily suffered an outage on Tuesday but services have been returned.

Coinbase Suffers a Major Outage

Coinbase, one of the leading cryptocurrency exchanges in the world, suffered a major outage on Tuesday. The outage began at 4:15 AM UTC and the exchange returned to use at 07:42 UTC, according to its status page.

During the outage, the website visitors received a "503 Service Temporarily Unavailable" message. At the time, Coinbase informed its users via X that it was investigating the issue and working on a solution.

While Coinbase has resolved the issue, its status page displayed that some users may still experience failures when sending crypto or withdrawing fiat, marking the service as degraded.
