Crypto.com Acquires Orion Principals to Expand Financial Services Offering

Crypto.com has announced the acquisition of Orion Principals Limited, a licensed brokerage firm regulated by the Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM). This move marks a significant step in Crypto.com’s strategy to expand the traditional financial services it offers its users.

Orion, based in Abu Dhabi, holds a license to provide investment services, including options, futures, securities, and contracts for difference. Through the acquisition, Crypto.com plans to offer these financial products to eligible users, further enhancing its platform's capabilities.

The acquisition aligns with Crypto.com's roadmap to diversify its offerings and build a more comprehensive platform for both digital and traditional financial products. The company highlighted its ongoing growth in the UAE, noting the region's strong regulatory framework for digital assets.

This development follows several other recent acquisitions by Crypto.com, including Fintek Securities Pty Ltd, Charterprime Ltd, and the SEC-registered broker-dealer Watchdog Capital, LLC. Details on the launch of the new services are expected to be revealed in the coming weeks.
