T-Systems, owned by Deutsche Telekom has invested in Polkdot by purchasing its native DOT tokens.

Deutsche Telekom-owned T-Systems announced earlier today that it has invested in Polkadot. T-Systems will provide node-running infrastructure to users staking assets on the Polkadot blockchain. The company will also invest in Polkadot by purchasing DOT, the blockchain’s native token.

Andreas Dittrich, head of Deutsche Telekom’s Blockchain Solutions Center said “Like we did before with Celo, we are also investing in DOT tokens to be able to participate in the governance of the network, and basically put our money where our mouth is to support our infrastructure case.”

DOT occupies eleventh place in the market after rising by nearly 6% in the last 24 hours.
