HBAR Foundation, the development team behind the Hedera blockchain, announced via a blog post on Friday that Earthlings, a pioneer in Web3 gaming, has launched “STEAM RUNNER,” its first Play-to-Earn (P2E) mobile add-on game that enables gamers to earn the STEAM token.
Now live on both iOS and Android, the new mobile game, an ode to the cult classics “Temple Run” and “Pacman,” is an immersive add-on game in which players are rewarded with the STEAM token for their achievements.
STEAM is the native token of the Earthlings universe that underpins its in-game economy. The token, built on the Hedera Token Service (HTS), will enable users to trade, purchase, and sell virtual property throughout the Earthlings universe.
Hedera Hashgraph is a distributed public ledger infrastructure. According to the team, it offers significant improvements over existing blockchains in five areas: performance, security, governance, stability, and regulatory compliance. HBAR is trading at $0.12239 at press time, up 42% over the last 24 hours.
