El Salvador has been the epicentre of Latin American cryptocurrency news this year and will now host the continents major crypto event

San Salvador will be the host of this years’ LatAm cryptocurrency event, marking the most significant crypto conference on the continent. The event will take place between the 16th and 18th of November and will discuss various important topics related to the industry, including how it could positively impact the economy in the future.

Bitcoin pioneer and president of El Salvador Nayib Bukele is promoting the important event at a time when BTC has recorded all-time highs. The price of BTC is currently hovering around $60,000 across major LatAm crypto exchanges, as industries across the world position themselves to accept the fast-moving crypto industry.

Latin American Bitcoin & Blockchain Conference

The conference will feature speakers and special guests from the world over, to discuss Bitcoin and the benefits of blockchain technology. The event will be sponsored by Bitcoin Latin America Foundation and Adopting Bitcoin, which promotes the adoption of cryptocurrency in the Central American country.

Some 50 talks and 150 experts will feature, covering the past, present and future of the most popular cryptocurrencies in the world. The guests include key industry figures such as Jameson Lopp, Co-founder and CTO of Casa, and Stephen Livera, CEO of the Swan Bitcoin International platform and a well-respected industry spokesperson. As well as that, names such as Anita Posch, Max Keizer, Stacy Herbet and Matías Goldenhörn will also be there.

A statement from the general organizer claims "This event consists of a free day where people can get closer to understand and clarify their doubts about the use, the potential of Bitcoin beyond remittances and why this asset is important for all Salvadorans and not only for those from greater purchasing power." "There we will all be open to teaching from scratch, with talks that will focus on topics such as speculation management, other types of cryptocurrencies, advantages of different wallets, job opportunities, among others."

El Salvador and Bitcoin So Far

The initial announcement was met with a great deal of resentment from certain groups in El Salvador. But, since the price has soared to record highs, there has been little more resistance. The event will support the efforts of the government and help to develop Bitcoin trade in the country.

One of the biggest problems the nation faces is the integration and education of citizens. Bitcoin and blockchain technology aren’t easy to grasp, but it isn’t essential that users understand the functionality of cryptocurrency. Rather, it’s important for them to see the benefits and how it could boost the country’s economy.

It is one of the most important global crypto events this year and attendees will have face-to-face access to some of the greatest minds in the industry.
