Fuse Network Distributes 1 Million $FUSE Tokens During First Airdrop Campaign

DeFi protocol Fuse Network announced the successful completion of its first airdrop campaign, with 1 million $FUSE tokens distributed to participants.

DeFi protocol Fuse Network announced the successful completion of its first airdrop campaign, with 1 million $FUSE tokens distributed to participants. The first season ended on June 16, 2024, following an extension of the campaign period. The platform has since launched Season Two of the airdrop campaign, increasing the total allocation of tokens to 2.5 million $FUSE tokens – with the entire program allocated 3.5 million $FUSE tokens. 

Extended Season 1 $FUSE Airdrop Campaign 

The first campaign ended earlier this week, with one million $FUSE tokens distributed to participants, following the extension of the campaign. According to the final report, the extension was to give the team the “necessary time to thoroughly review and secure [the first]airdrop distribution”, following issues involving referral recalculations and the flushing out of bad actors who tried to game the system. 

The team noticed an error in the calculations of the referral points quest, which allowed users to invite referrals and earn more reward points than they should have. The bug was fixed and the points were allocated correctly for all referral participants.

“Future points will be accrued accurately, reflecting true engagement,” the press release from Fuse Network reads. “This correction is made in your best interest to maintain fairness in the distribution process.”

Season 2 Launches: Over 2.5 million $FUSE Allocated

Following the completion of the first campaign, Fuse Network immediately launched the second season on June 17th. The second season will distribute 2.5 million $FUSE tokens, bringing the entire program to 3.5 million $FUSE. The significantly increased $FUSE rewards aim to incentivize more participants in the new campaign by providing greater incentives and opportunities for engagement. 

The reward pool will be shared by participants who take quests, earn points, and appear on the Leaderboard. The campaign will also welcome, Layer 3, a  Web 3 platform built to enhance user engagement and reward participation, to provide improved incentivized quests and enhance discovery across the Fuse network. and promote discovery within the Fuse network, offering a richer and more rewarding experience. The season will run on a rolling basis, allowing for continuous participation and opportunities to earn.

Participants can complete various tasks to earn points including following Fuse on social networks, staking $FUSE tokens, providing liquidity, borrowing and lending, and inviting friends to the platform. More on the Airdrop tasks can be found on the official Airdrop campaign page
