On Monday, Aave Labs announced via X that GHO is now available as a fee token for bridging any token via Chainlink CCIP.

On Monday, Aave Labs announced via X that GHO is now available as a fee token for bridging any token via Chainlink CCIP. This latest development offers users a simpler way to transfer GHO across supported networks.

The team added that $31.2m GHO has been bridged to date, representing the 2nd largest asset by volume of Chainlink CCIP.

Aave protocol is a decentralized, open-source, and non-custodial money market protocol. Depositors earn interest by providing liquidity to lending pools, while borrowers can obtain overcollateralized loans by using the liquidity from these pools. AAVE is trading at $153.79 per token, down 2% in the last 24 hours. 

Chainlink Network (LINK) aims to provide tamper-proof inputs and outputs of data for smart contracts on any blockchain. LINK is down less than 1% over the past 24 hours, trading at $11.82 at press time.
