Harmony Protocol announced via X on Wednesday that it has deployed Story Protocol's RoyaltyPolicyLAP on Shard1. Thanks to this latest development, building on Shard 1 now means true data ownership for creators. This contract ensures royalties flow directly to the source, streamlining payments and maximizing the value of IP within Harmony’s ecosystem.

Harmony added that Shard 1 is about scalability and security and this contract reinforces its commitment to building a web3 infrastructure where creators retain control and reap the full benefits of their work.

Harmony is a fast and secure blockchain for decentralized applications. Harmony's main focus is on achieving scalability by dividing not only the network nodes but also the blockchain states into shards, "scaling linearly in all three aspects of machines, transactions and storage." ONE, Harmony Protocol’s native token, is down by 4% in the past 24 hours and currently trades at $0.02801.
