Leading decentralized GPU infrastructure network io.net has partnered with the cloud gaming decentralized network (DePIN) YOM.
In a press release shared with Cryptowisser, io.net said the strategic partnership seeks to widen the accessibility of high-quality gaming experiences. The partnership will see YOM leverage io.net’s vast network of globally distributed GPUs to enhance its state-of-the-art pixel streaming capabilities.
Furthermore, with the support of io.net, YOM will enable seamless, low-latency delivery of AAA gaming experiences to players worldwide while significantly reducing costs compared to traditional centralized server solutions.
While commenting on this partnership, Tausif Ahmed, VP of Business Development at io.net, said,
“We are extremely proud to partner with YOM, a cutting-edge project that shares our passion for decentralization – and in particular DePIN. By combining our decentralized GPU infrastructure with YOM’s pioneering cloud gaming infrastructure, we are giving players access to a rich and accessible ecosystem that benefits them in countless ways.”
YOM will leverage io.net’s network to support regions where individual nodes have not yet been established and to handle overflow during peak traffic periods. This will enable consistent, low-latency gaming experiences for players, irrespective of their physical location or demands on the network.
Andrew Pringle, CEO of YOM, added that,
“Working with io.net allows us to significantly expand our global reach while maintaining the same high-quality gaming experience users have come to expect. With the gaming market recognized as the biggest consumer entertainment sector by usage and revenue, the ability to quickly match GPU demand in various regions is vital to ensuring optimal UX. Our vision of making AAA gaming experiences accessible to everyone, everywhere, at near-zero prices is coming into clearer focus.”
YOM has a wide range of excellent features, including voice chat, multiplayer capabilities, cross-device controls, and comprehensive analytics. Leveraging a distributed network of gaming machines, YOM enables low-latency, near-zero-cost cloud gaming on any device and channel, effectively eliminating the need for dedicated game consoles (Xbox, Playstation) and platforms like Steam.
io.net is a decentralized physical infrastructure network (DePIN) that deploys and manages on-demand, decentralized GPU clusters from geo-distributed sources. Hundreds of thousands of GPUs are accessible today in IO Network, and this Internet of GPUs is specifically architected for low latency, high processing demand use cases like AI/ML ops and cloud gaming. io.net democratizes access to GPU compute capacity while reducing costs, expediting lead times, and expanding choice for engineers and businesses.
Meanwhile, YOM is pioneering the first cloud gaming infrastructure (DePIN) that is streaming games, white-label experiences, and entirely new entertainment formats at scale to any URL or streaming platform, including Telegram. Leveraging a distributed network of gaming machines, YOM offers global low-latency near-zero costs cloud gaming to any device and channel, effectively eliminating the need for dedicated game consoles (Xbox, Playstation). A network of advisors and firms such as Outlier Ventures and Borderless Capital, backs the project.
