io.net has partnered with Leonardo AI’s platform to boost their computation capacity by providing them with enterprise-grade L40S GPUs.

GPU cloud network io.net announced on Thursday, August 8th, that it has partnered with leading image-generation platform Leonardo AI to support their rapid growth by further enhancing their computational capacity.

In a press release shared with Cryptowisser, io.net said it will provide enterprise-grade L40S GPUs that will allow Leonardo AI to continue scaling quickly to meet heightened customer demand for its generative AI content production platform.

Leonardo AI’s content production platform has recorded tremendous growth that has seen millions of new customers onboard to utilize its powerful capabilities to generate production-quality, visual assets on demand.

The partnership between the two entities will be an expansion on the A100 GPUs already being utilized by Leonardo AI from io.net. These A100s will now be complemented by a batch of NVIDIA L40S models designed for highly performant generative AI and large language model (LLM) inference.

The supply of advanced GPUs for image inferencing means that io.net will enable Leanordo AI’s platform to keep pace with record customer demand. With immediate access to this larger fleet of enterprise-grade GPUs, Leonardo AI will maintain its growth while ensuring its customers enjoy the service reliability and speed they have come to expect of its platform.

While commenting on this partnership, Leonardo AI Co-Founder and CFO Chris Gillis said,

“io.net has proven to be an invaluable partner in providing the compute Leonardo AI needs to scale in order to keep pace with our rapid growth. Leveraging these L40S GPUs from io.net will allow our platform to serve our customers faster than ever using best-in-class technology that has been optimized for AI inferencing. With the support of io.net, we look forward to onboarding millions of users, confident that we have the compute capacity we need, even during periods of peak demand.”

The team revealed that over 300k verified GPUs and 37k cluster-ready GPUs are now available through the io.net Cloud, many of which will be utilized by Leonardo AI.

With Leonardo AI’s platform, creators can generate images in any chosen aesthetic in seconds with simple prompts, create videos, sketch with AI, and custom-train models with their own datasets.

Leonardo AI platform’s rapid growth can be attributed to its new foundational model, Phoenix, which takes creator control to the next level, with unprecedented prompt adherence, coherent, accurate text in images, and the ability to generate production-ready assets in one shot.

With io.net’s decentralized cloud solution, world-leading artificial intelligence companies such as Leonardo AI can access the GPU compute they need flexibly and cost-effectively.

io.net is a decentralized physical infrastructure network (DePIN) that deploys and manages on-demand, decentralized GPU clusters from geo-distributed sources. Hundreds of thousands of GPUs are accessible today in IO Network, and this Internet of GPUs is specifically architected for low latency, high processing demand use cases like AI/ML ops and cloud gaming.

Meanwhile, Leonardo.ai is one of the tech industry’s fastest-growing startups democratizing creativity with its generative AI content production platform. Creators can now generate hyper-realistic images in seconds with simple prompts and/or reference images, create videos, sketch with AI, and even custom-train models on their own IP.
