On Wednesday, the LayerZero team announced via X that Level is expanding to new chains with LayerZero's OFT Standard. lvlUSD is a stablecoin that taps into multiple crypto-native yield sources, including lending protocols and restaking, while remaining liquid in DeFi.
Originally on Ethereum, lvlUSD, and slvlUSD will now be available on other chains, thanks to LayerZero’s Omnichain Fungible Token (OFT) Standard. With LayerZero’s lock-and-mint method, Level will securely lock lvlUSD on Ethereum and mint the same amount on other chains.
LayerZero is an interoperability protocol designed to facilitate seamless communication between different blockchains. It aims to create a unified, interconnected blockchain ecosystem where assets and data can move freely across various networks. ZRO trades at $2.976, up 4% in the last 24 hours.
