The Livepeer team announced yesterday via its Medium blog that its Confluence upgrade is now live. Following this latest development, all Livepeer protocol functionality has moved to Arbitrum, which offers faster transactions and lower costs for Livepeer broadcasters, orchestrators, and delegators.

The Livepeer network serves as the video infrastructure for developers to power their live streaming applications. Video streaming represents over 80% of the bandwidth used on the internet, and traditional video infrastructures present high-cost barriers for startups and developers to build new streaming platforms.

Livepeer’s LPT coin is up by 6% so far today and is currently trading at $27.67.
