The Loopring team announced via X (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday that the Loopring Smart Wallet contract upgrade is now live. The team said users have a chance to pay once for this upgrade, plus all future upgrades will be done at no cost.
Some of the changes in the upgrade include the resolution of the ETH/WETH wrapping issue, the resolution of L1 DApp interaction issues, and the introduction of a new proxy architecture, allowing the automatic deployment of future upgrades.
Loopring aims to build an open protocol for scalable, non-custodial, order book-based exchanges on Ethereum by leveraging zero-knowledge proofs. LRC, Loopring’s native token, is up by 1% today and is trading at $0.1785 at press time.
