MicroStrategy Acquires 11k Bitcoins for $1.1B, Bringing Total Holdings to 461k Bitcoins

Michael Saylor-led MicroStrategy has continued its Bitcoin buying spree after splashing another $1.1 billion on bitcoins, bringing its total holdings to 461k.

MicroStrategy Splashes Another $1.1B on BTC

Michael Saylor-led MicroStrategy has continued its Bitcoin buying spree after the company splashed another $1.1 billion on bitcoins. This is the 11th consecutive week that the software development company added Bitcoins to its reserves. 

According to Michael Saylor, the company the company purchased 11,000 BTC for $1.1 billion, taking its total holdings to 461,000 BTC. This latest bitcoin average purchase price was $101,191, increasing MicroStrategy's overall average purchase price to $63,610.

The company now holds 461,000 $BTC acquired for ~$29.3 billion at ~$63,610 per bitcoin. This latest acquisition comes a week after MicroStrategy acquired 2,530 bitcoins for $243 million at $95,972 per bitcoin.

Meanwhile, Bitcoin, the leading cryptocurrency by market cap, is up 3.5% in the last 24 hours and trading at $105,435 per coin.
