Native USDC and CCTP V2 by Circle to Launch on Sonic

On Thursday, Sonic Labs (formerly Fantom Foundation) announced via X that native USDC and CCTP V2 by Circle are coming to Sonic. USDC is a stablecoin that is pegged to the U.S. dollar on a 1:1 basis. The issuer, Circle, says regulated financial institutions issue USDC.

Sonic (previously Fantom) is building a programmable platform on a directed acyclic-graph-based distributed ledger. Its S coin is up 5.5% in the last 24 hours and is currently trading at $0.5026.
