The Near Protocol announced via a blog post on Wednesday that it has partnered with D3 to introduce NEAR Name Tokens; a multichain, cross-platform digital identity for web3 and beyond.

NEAR Name Tokens will offer users a comprehensive digital identity solution across the wider web3 ecosystem. With these name tokens, users will enjoy a simplified wallet address across hundreds of different blockchain networks, serve as an infrastructure identifier across hundreds of different blockchain networks, and gain access to unique benefits and rewards programs for participating in the D3 ecosystem.

NEAR Protocol is a decentralized application platform designed to make apps similarly usable to those on today’s web. The network runs on a Proof-of-Stake (PoS) consensus mechanism called Nightshade, which aims to provide dynamic scalability and stabilize fees.NEAR is trading at $7.273, down by 4% in the last 24 hours.
