Phala Joins the IoTeX 2.0 as the Verifiable Compute Module

The IoTeX team announced via X on Monday that Phala has joined the IoTeX 2.0 modular DePIN infrastructure as the verifiable compute module. Phala leverages Trusted Execution Environments (TEEs) for secure DePIN verification.

TEEs are a secure enclave in DePIN devices, safeguarding sensitive data and ensuring integrity when generating proofs of real-world activity. W3bstream, IoTeX's off-chain computing protocol, lets users leverage TEEs alongside ZK provers.

IoTeX's mission is to be a privacy-centric blockchain managing the entire information lifecycle of an Internet of Things (IoT) network, including data collection, transport, storage, and utilization. IOTX is down by 1.7% today and is currently trading at $0.04239.
