The Polygon Labs team announced via a blog post that Polygon Plonky3, the next generation of ZK proving systems, is production-ready and open-source licensed under MIT/Apache.

Plonky3 is a build-your-own adventure of ZK proving systems. With Polygon Plonky3, developers will have various choices to build bespoke proving systems for zkVM or zkEVM chains, suited to whatever use case.

Furthermore, Polygon Plonky3 allows developers to easily extend the cryptographic security provided by ZK by building use-case-specific zkVMs and zkEVMs.

Polygon (previously Matic Network) is the first well-structured, easy-to-use platform for Ethereum scaling and infrastructure development. Its core component is Polygon SDK, a modular, flexible framework that supports building multiple types of applications. MATIC is up by 2% in the last 24 hours and is currently trading at $0.5534.
