Sonic, the leading gaming SVM on Solana, has partnered with Injective, a WASM-based L1 network, to create the first cross-chain AI Agent platform, integrating the Solana and Injective ecosystems through an innovative Smart Agent Hub.
The partnership will leverage Sonic's HyperGrid technology to establish a dedicated Solana Virtual Machine (SVM) grid, providing an innovative framework for intuitive cross-chain connectivity between Solana and Injective.
Sonic added that the AI Agents built on the SVM will seamlessly integrate into the Injective ecosystem through the Inter-Blockchain Communication Protocol (IBC). The two entities will work together on developing key technical innovations that enable Smart Agent Hub - a few focus verticals, which include:
-
Injective SVM Grid: Sonic's HyperGrid infrastructure will be utilized by Injective and Sonic to operate a Solana-based rollup, enabling direct communication between the Injective WASM blockchain and Solana via IBC.
-
Cross-Chain Asset Interoperability: An optimized bidirectional bridge will facilitate the seamless transfer of SOL and Injective tokens, supporting both wrapped (CW20) and native token formats.
-
Unified Developer Experience: Developers on Injective can deploy Solana-based applications using a single RPC endpoint, track transactions through an SVM Explorer, and access comprehensive deployment documentation.
The Smart Agent Hub will provide robust tooling and frameworks that empower developers to create, manage, and monetize AI agents in a decentralized ecosystem. Enabling agent tokenization and co-ownership opens new economic opportunities through fractional ownership and revenue sharing.
Distribution mechanisms and platforms will be provided to increase the reach and raise awareness of AI agents, utilizing apps like Sonic X, a TikTok Applayer developed by the Sonic team. The hub will support on-chain agent capabilities to enable the training and monetization of agents across Web3 games, DeFi applications, asset tokenization, and more.
While commenting on this partnership, Eric Chen, CEO of Injective Labs, said,
"This industry needs infrastructure that breaks down chain-specific barriers. Our joint effort with Sonic creates a foundation for developers to build applications that leverage the best of both Solana and Injective ecosystems. Together, we’re laying the groundwork for what we believe will be one of the most significant AI-driven innovations in all of Web3."
Chris Zhu, CEO of Sonic, added that,
"This collaboration represents a significant milestone in cross-chain infrastructure. By combining Sonic's HyperGrid technology with Injective's powerful WASM-based blockchain, we are creating unprecedented opportunities for developers to build applications that seamlessly operate across ecosystems. AI agent frameworks are just the beginning."
The integration will launch in phases in the coming months, with testnet deployment expected in Q1 2025. Sonic and Injective will work together to onboard various sectors into the Smart Agent Hub. The sectors that would be onboarded include gaming, entertainment, DeFi, and social platforms like TikTok and Web3 games.
Sonic is the first SVM chain to launch on Solana for games and applications. It is powered by Sonic HyperGrid, a framework for orchestrating optimistic Solana rollups. Sonic is the home of SonicX, the industry’s first Web3 TikTok App Layer - designed to onboard the next billion users.
Injective is a lightning-fast interoperable layer one blockchain optimized for building the premier Web3 finance applications. Injective provides developers with powerful plug-and-play modules for creating unmatched dApps. INJ is the native asset that powers Injective and its rapidly growing ecosystem. Injective is incubated by Binance and is backed by prominent investors such as Jump Crypto, Pantera, and Mark Cuban.
