On Thursday, Sonic Labs announced via X that it has partnered with Circle to offer bridged USDC on Sonic. With this partnership, developers can build on Sonic with a single contract address that will persist after any future upgrade to native USDC; no code changes are required for potential future support of native USDC.
Single upgradeable form of bridged USDC provides a seamless pathway to native USDC, with no action necessary.
Sonic (previously Fantom) is building a programmable platform on a directed acyclic-graph-based distributed ledger. Its FTM coin is down 1.5% in the last 24 hours and is currently trading at $0.6599.
