Sonic SVM has hit a million verified users on TikTok via its Web3 applayer Sonic X as it seeks to ensure users can easily discover and interact with a wide range of Web3 games.

On Monday, November 11th, Sonic SVM announced that its Web3 Applayer, Sonic X, has reached a significant milestone of 1 million KYC-verified users, marking a pivotal achievement in Web3 adoption through TikTok.

In a press release shared with Cryptowisser, Sonic pointed out that this milestone underscores its commitment to building robust infrastructure and a user-friendly distribution platform, Sonic X. Sonic X enables TikTok users to effortlessly engage in the decentralized web and explore blockchain-powered applications.

Via Sonix X, users can easily discover and interact with a wide range of Web3 games, all within the familiar environment of TikTok. The Sonic X team has fully utilized account abstraction, creating a seamless, simplified onboarding for non-crypto-native users.

Furthermore, on the backend, a Solana wallet is automatically generated. This means that users do not need to leave the TikTok app as they can log in with their TikTok account to play the games offered on Sonic X.

While commenting on this milestone, Chris Zhu, Co-founder and CEO of Sonic, said,

"Achieving 1 million KYC-verified users is a testament to Sonic’s dedication to bridging the gap between mainstream social media and Web3. Sonic X was designed with accessibility and engagement in mind, and we’re proud to have created an experience that brings the benefits of blockchain technology to a large, active audience on TikTok."

According to Sonic, the Applayer’s unique features, including an aggregation page for Web3 games, an interactive leaderboard for Sonic X’s flagship tap-to-earn game, and a task page where users can complete activities for rewards, have all contributed to this substantial growth.

The features foster a rich, rewarding environment for users, positioning Sonic as a leader in both Web3 gaming and social media engagement.

This latest development comes shortly after Sonic announced the first game to launch on Sonic X to tap into the TikTok Applayer ecosystem. Sonic continues to build upon this success, with further plans to enhance the Applayer’s capabilities and integrate additional applications that empower users in the Web3 space.

Sonic is the first SVM Gaming Chain, expanding Solana’s gaming ecosystem from FOGCs, action-shooters, Web3 casinos, and more. It is powered by HyperGrid Framework - a development stack for deploying domain-specific, interoperable SVMs.
