Subsquid Network has expanded its services to the Solana blockchain after partnering with Neon EVM.

Web3 data lake and query engine Subsquid announced on Thursday, April 25th, that it has partnered with Solana-powered Neon EVM to provide dApp developers easier access to Neon EVM's on-chain data.

In a press release shared with Cryptowisser, Subsquid said this partnership is its first step towards expansion to the Solana blockchain.

Subsquid is a decentralized data lake and query engine built with utility and scalability in mind. The platform provides a secure alternative to centralized infrastructure firms like API providers.

Furthermore, Subsquid offers blockchain indexing, app development, and analytics, and its list of partners includes Manta Network, Parity, and Enjin. It also offers support to Ethereum and its L2s and Substrate (Polkadot and Kusama). Thanks to its partnership with Neon EVM, Subsquid is now available on the Solana blockchain.

Thanks to this latest partnership, Subsquid will add on-chain data from Neon EVM to its decentralized data lake secured by ZK proofs. The move will allow developers building dApps on Neon to have access to existing information, making it easier for them to innovate.

Neon EVM is a fully Ethereum-compatible environment running as a smart contract created on Solana. The platform offers Ethereum solutions, including accounts and signatures, tools and infrastructure, and token standards (ERC-20 tokens).

As a Solana-based solution, Neon EVM provides users with better liquidity, scalability, quick transactions, lower costs, and unique features not available on Ethereum.

Subsquid has been working on its expansion to the Solana network as indicated on its roadmap for the first quarter of 2024. The platform still intends to announce other developments before the end of the year, including the launch of a mainnet, Cosmos support, and permissionless dataset submission.

Subsquid Network is a distributed query engine and data lake around which the Subsquid ecosystem is built. It offers developers permissionless, cost-efficient access to on-chain data from over 100 chains and is integrated into a large ecosystem of Web2- and Web3-native developer tools.

Neon EVM is an Ethereum Virtual Machine operating as a smart contract on Solana that accepts transaction requests via public PRC endpoints. It gives developers the power to directly deploy Ethereum dApps with minimal reconfiguration to the code while benefiting from Solana's technical advantages such as parallel processing.
