On Wednesday, the Graph Foundation announced via X that Substreams, developed for The Graph, has added another non-EVM blockchain: MANTRA. MANTRA Chain is a purpose-built layer-1 blockchain for tokenized Real-World Assets. Fully interoperable with the other Cosmos blockchains through the IBC module, MANTRA is both Cosmos- and Ethereum-compatible.
With this support, developers building on MANTRA can use Substreams and Substreams-powered Subgraphs on The Graph. Substreams enable seamless integration of data with any storage or interface environment, including subgraphs, SQL databases, or direct gRPC streaming. They also have low-latency gRPC stream (backed by the Firehose) that is cursor-managed to handle reorgs and eliminate the unreliability of RPCs.
The Graph is an indexing protocol for decentralized applications that allows developers to access blockchain data efficiently. Developers can build subgraphs that define how to ingest, index, and serve blockchain data in a verifiable way. GRT, the native token of The Graph Network, is up 1% in the last 24 hours and is currently trading at $0.332.
