On Wednesday, the Hedera team announced via a blog post that the Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE), a leading African Exchange, has officially joined the Hedera Council. The move will help to accelerate tokenization initiatives using the Hedera network.

By joining the Hedera Council, the NSE can accelerate the launch of digital assets and tokenized securities on its Exchange, leveraging Hedera’s secure, transparent, and scalable technology.

Hedera Hashgraph is a distributed public ledger infrastructure. According to the team, it offers significant improvements over existing blockchains in five areas: performance, security, governance, stability, and regulatory compliance. HBAR is trading at $0.0475 at press time, down 3% over the last 24 hours.
