On Friday, the Arbitrum team announced via X that Timeboost is now live on Arbitrum One and Nova. Timeboost is a new transaction ordering policy that allows users to bid for express lane access, which provides faster transaction inclusion while maintaining Arbitrum as a private mempool.
Timeboost brings multiple benefits to the Arbitrum ecosystem, including reducing network congestion by disincentivizing wasteful latency races. It also creates a new potential revenue stream for the DAO and allows users to remain protected from front-running & sandwich attacks through the private mempool.
Arbitrum is a suite of scaling solutions on Ethereum that utilize Optimistic Rollup. It allows users to enjoy faster speed and cheaper transaction costs when interacting with web3 dApps. ARB, the native coin of the Arbitrum network, is up 1.3% today and is trading at $0.3111.
