Donald Trump's media company, Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG), has launched a new fintech venture called Truth.Fi, marking a significant entry into the cryptocurrency space. The venture will invest up to $250 million in traditional assets like ETFs and SMAs, as well as Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. This move is part of TMTG’s strategy to diversify its $700 million cash reserves as of December 31, 2024.
Truth.Fi follows Trump’s previous expressions of support for cryptocurrency, including his idea for a U.S. Bitcoin reserve. The company has also filed a trademark for digital wallet software, hinting at further crypto-related offerings.
This launch positions TMTG alongside other tech giants like Elon Musk, who is also exploring fintech solutions with his X Money project. As the crypto market sees renewed growth, Trump’s move into digital assets is seen as a step towards integrating cryptocurrencies with traditional finance.
