Despite a recent assassination attempt, former U.S. President Donald Trump is set to speak at the Bitcoin Conference in Nashville, Tennessee, reaffirming his commitment to the event.

Donald Trump, the former President of the United States, has confirmed his attendance at the upcoming Bitcoin Conference in Nashville, Tennessee, following a harrowing assassination attempt on July 13 during a rally in Pennsylvania. David Bailey, CEO of Bitcoin Magazine and a key organizer of the event, verified Trump's participation and assured attendees of the former president's positive state of mind.

Bailey shared on social media platform X that he had communicated directly with Trump's team. "He's in good spirits and looking forward to delivering a speech in Nashville that will resonate globally," Bailey stated.

The Bitcoin Conference, scheduled for July 25-27, will feature Trump as a keynote speaker on the final day. His commitment to the event, made last week, remains unchanged despite the recent attempt on his life.

The Assassination Attempt

During a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, shots were fired from an unknown source while Trump was on stage. The former president instinctively covered his ear and sought shelter as Secret Service agents swiftly intervened. Trump emerged unscathed, with his campaign spokesperson, Steven Cheung, confirming he was undergoing medical evaluation at a local facility. Cheung expressed Trump's gratitude to law enforcement and first responders for their prompt action.

Trump's Evolving Stance on Crypto

Trump's position on cryptocurrencies has shifted over time. Once critical of Bitcoin, calling it a "scam," he recently pledged to end the Biden administration's "war on crypto" if elected president. He has also criticized Biden's stringent approach to cryptocurrencies, emphasizing the need for U.S. leadership in the crypto industry.

Recent surveys highlight the growing importance of cryptocurrency policies in voting decisions. The Harris Poll found that one in three U.S. voters consider a candidate's crypto stance before voting. Additionally, a survey by crypto venture capital firm Paradigm revealed strong support for Trump among crypto owners, with 48% planning to vote for him compared to 39% for Biden.

As the Bitcoin Conference approaches, all eyes will be on Trump's address, which is expected to further clarify his position on cryptocurrencies and potentially influence the intersection of politics and digital assets in the United States.
