On Wednesday, the Uniswap team announced via X that it has partnered with Across Protocol to develop ERC-7683, the standard for cross-chain Intents on Ethereum. Intents allow users to declare actions across different chains, such as token swaps, DeFi deposits, or governance votes. ERC-7683 standardizes how these cross-chain interactions are expressed as intents, enabling seamless connectivity between Ethereum mainnet, L2s, and sidechains.
ERC-7683 establishes a universal standard for crosschain actions across L2s and sidechains, supporting Ethereum’s goal as the leading decentralized application platform. It standardizes order and settlement interfaces for seamless crosschain execution and provides a common framework that harmonizes diverse systems, enabling smoother crosschain operations.
Furthermore, ERC-7683 allows dApps to access shared filler networks across chains, offering deeper liquidity and delivers simplified, intuitive, and frictionless crosschain interactions for users.
Uniswap is a decentralized exchange protocol built on Ethereum. To be more precise, it is an automated liquidity protocol. No order book or centralized party is required to make trades. UNI, the native token of Uniswap, is currently trading at $15.339, up 3% in the last 24 hours.
