This is a huge win for NFTs and all creators pushing our ecosystem forward. NFTs are not securities.
This latest development comes just a few days after the SEC closed investigations into several crypto companies, including MetaMask, Coinbase, Robinhood, Gemini, Kraken, and Uniswap Labs. The regulatory agency is also working to settle its case against TRON's Justin Sun.
The SEC began investigating Yuga Labs in October 2022 as it alleged that NFTs were unregistered securities. At the time, Yuga Labs stated that they wished to partner with the rest of the industry and regulators to define and shape the burgeoning ecosystem.
