On Thursday, the Wormhole team announced via X that Wormhole has integrated with Unichain, Uniswap’s Ethereum L2 network. Unichain users can now transfer tokens between Unichain and 35+ blockchains, and developers can easily build natively multichain apps powered by Wormhole.
Unichain offers seamless, near-instant transactions, cutting costs by 95% and reducing block times to one second, eventually reaching 200-250 milliseconds. The Wormhole integration allows a seamless flow of liquidity to Unichain from 35+ blockchains to improve liquidity and user access.
Unichain is now available via Portal Bridge — powered by Wormhole. Developers can add in-app transfers or take their Unichain applications multichain using Wormhole Connect.
Wormhole is a decentralized bridge between blockchains that enables the transfer of assets and data across different blockchain networks. It aims to facilitate interoperability and expand the capabilities of blockchain technology. W is trading at $0.1693, up 4.5% in the last 24 hours.
