Wyoming Chooses LayerZero as the Token Issuance Partner for WYST

On Wednesday, the LayerZero team announced via X that Wyoming had chosen LayerZero as the token issuance partner for WYST, the first fiat-backed and fully-reserved stablecoin issued by a public entity in the United States.

The Wyoming Stable Token Commission will leverage LayerZero's Omnichain Fungible Token (OFT) Standard for WYST after a stringent RFP process. Originally considered a single-chain asset that would expand in a separate phase, WYST can now be issued across chains from the start.

WYST is designed to support the multichain future, opening up access to every major user base and ecosystem in crypto. WYST is now live on seven testnets, Arbitrum, Avalanche, Base, Ethereum, Optimism, Polygon, and Solana.

LayerZero is an interoperability protocol designed to facilitate seamless communication between different blockchains. It aims to create a unified, interconnected blockchain ecosystem where assets and data can move freely across various networks. ZRO trades at $3.221, up 10% in the last 24 hours.
